For accepted items, our team can help with review, pricing guidance, photography, listing, storage, packaging, shipping, and final sale.

All submissions are reviewed before approval. Submitting an item does not guarantee acceptance, trade-in credit, consignment listing, pickup, or payout.

Tell us what you have, including item details, approximate quantity, condition notes, and any brand, designer, or maker information. We may request photos by email after review.

Our team reviews each submission based on style, condition, authenticity, demand, resale value, and current shop needs.

We confirm your best option

Items may qualify for trade-in credit, consignment, or local furniture review. You may share your preference, but final approval depends on the item.

Send, drop off, or schedule pickup

Approved items in Sarasota or the surrounding area may be reviewed by appointment. Approved local furniture pieces may qualify for pickup. Approved mail-in closet submissions will receive a prepaid shipping label to ship their items to Gloss & Grit.

Receive credit or payout

Trade-in credit is issued after approved items are received and inspected. Consignment payouts are issued after the item sells and clears the return window.

Local to Sarasota? Submit clothing, shoes, handbags, accessories, furniture, decor, mirrors, lamps, art, and statement pieces for review. Approved items may qualify for trade-in credit or consignment, depending on brand, condition, demand, and resale value.

Appointments are required. Please do not drop off items without approval.
Approved local furniture pickup may be available. Pickup or labor costs may be deducted from the final sale before payout is calculated.

Not local? You can submit clothing, shoes, handbags, and accessories for review. If your items are approved, Gloss & Grit may provide a prepaid shipping label. Final trade-in or consignment eligibility is confirmed after items are received and inspected.

What we do not accept

To keep the program curated and manageable, we may decline items that do not fit our current needs, condition standards, authenticity expectations, or resale demand.

Items that are not approved after review may be returned at the seller's expense or donated, depending on the option selected during intake. To help avoid this, please review our acceptance standards carefully and submit detailed item information.

Trade-in, consignment, and payout

Trade-in offers and consignment payouts vary based on item type, brand, condition, demand, resale value, selling costs, and whether you choose cash payout or Gloss & Grit store credit.

Store credit options may receive a higher value than cash payout options. Before anything is accepted or listed, we will make sure expectations, pricing, payout structure, and responsibilities are clearly discussed and agreed upon by both parties. A consignment agreement or intake contract may also be issued before proceeding.

For consignment, payouts are issued after the item sells and clears the return window.

You may choose your preferred option, but final approval depends on the item. Some pieces may be better suited for trade-in credit, while higher-value or specialty pieces may be better suited for consignment.
